Gas & Electric Supply Prices

Understanding Supply and Delivery:

The supply prices provided below do not include energy delivery charges, which are regulated, stable, and apply whether you receive your energy supply from Central Hudson or an ESCO. Also, Central Hudson does not profit from energy supply costs or our energy purchasing services. Payments toward the supply portion of your energy bill are passed along to the companies that provide the supply of gas and electricity that Central Hudson delivers.

When comparing offers from Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), you may use the prices below. These prices exclude the Merchant Function Charge (MFC) Administrative component, which applies if your ESCO participates in the Company's Purchased Receivables (POR) program. The prices reflect Central Hudson's supply charges calculated using the following formulas:

Standard Rate Electric Supply Cost Calculation = Market Price Charge (MPC*) +/- Market Price Adjustment (MPA) + Merchant Function Charge (MFC) Supply

Time of Use Supply Cost (5-Hr) = Market Price Charge (On-Peak/Off-Peak) + MFC Supply

Standard Gas Supply Cost = Net Gas Supply Charge (GSC) − Transportation Demand Adjustment (TDA) + MFC Supply + MFC Transition Adjustment

*Note: MPC is inclusive of Clean Energy Standard Supply (CESS) charges, including RECs, ZECs, and ORECs.

Visit the Your Bill Explained page for explanations of each of the aforementioned charges and adjustments.
