Supporting Local Business: Bread Alone Expansion
At Central Hudson, we’re proud to invest in the organizations that help our communities thrive, and local businesses are embedded into the fabric of the Hudson Valley. That’s why we partnered with New York State through Empire State Development to support Bread Alone’s 15,000-square-foot bakery expansion in Ulster County, expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
The exciting expansion will increase Bread Alone’s production capacity by 50 percent and help the company meet growing demand while also creating new opportunities for jobs and economic growth in the region.
Investing in the Hudson Valley
For more than 40 years, Bread Alone has been committed to quality, care and the Hudson Valley community — values that closely align with Central Hudson’s dedication to serving New Yorkers in our region. Bread Alone carefully approaches every step of the baking process to deliver exceptional products to customers. At Central Hudson, we bring that same thoughtful approach to serving our customers by providing safe, reliable service to the communities we serve.
Supporting projects like this is part of our broader commitment to strengthening the Hudson Valley economy by investing in local businesses that make our region a great place to live and work.

We’re excited to be a part of Bread Alone’s expansion, and we look forward to the positive, economic impact it will have across our communities.
