El programa EV ChargeSmart ahorra dinero a los conductores y promueve la carga fuera de las horas pico al ofrecer incentivos para la carga de vehículos eléctricos en ciertos momentos del día. Any Central Hudson customer with an eligible EV or EV Charger.

Any Central Hudson customer who owns an EV can enroll.

Description

A program that offers financial incentives for EV charging at certain times of day.

An electric rate that provides lower electricity rates during off-peak hours.

How does it work?

Enroll your EV or home charger and Central Hudson collects charging data to calculate your incentives.

Switching to this billing method converts your residential electric account to a time-based rate, billed at a higher cost during peak demand periods (2 to 7 p.m.) and at a lower rate all other times.

How do I save money?

You will receive a $25 enrollment incentive after three months of successful participation. After that you will earn monthly participation incentives based on your off-peak charging habits.

To realize savings, you must shift use of approximately 83% of your electricity during off-peak hours. This entails charging your electric vehicle during off-peak periods and controlling the schedule of when electric heat, air-conditioning, appliances and electric products are run.
