Are you a Central Hudson customer who is also a fan of natural gas? Then, consider becoming an ambassador for Central Hudson’s natural gas conversion program! You could receive a $25 VISA gift card for each new residential gas customer you refer, who successfully completes a conversion! The Simply Better referral program is designed to encourage customers like you to introduce natural gas to friends, family members and neighbors. Read on for more information and program terms:

How does it work?
Referring customers is easy, simply share information with your colleagues, friends and family about the benefits of natural gas, suggesting they explore the option for their home. Ask your friend to provide your name and address as the referral source when they submit an inquiry via our website or by calling our gas new business desk at 800-527-7214. Once a residential customer you refer successfully completes a gas conversion and verifies your referral, you will be rewarded with a $25 VISA gift card!

What’s in it for the person I refer?
All the benefits of natural gas, of course! Plus, depending on your their circumstances and when they decide to make the switch, they can benefit from a range of financial incentives.

How will you verify my referral?
All referral customers who complete a gas conversion will be asked to verify the referral source in writing as part of the gas conversion process. Acknowledgment and verification of referral sources by the gas conversion customer is entirely optional and Central Hudson accepts no responsibility for gas conversion customers who decline to verify, or who verify a referral source different than another customer may expect.It is important to note that while it is uncommon, situations may arise where multiple customers claim they referred the same gas conversion customer. In such instances, the verified referral source, or decline of a conversion customer to verify will always prevail.

Are there any restrictions?
Referral rewards are limited to residential customer referrals and will only be paid to verified referral sources upon successful completion of gas conversion service with Central Hudson. Prospective gas customers who have already initiated interest in gas conversion with Central Hudson, including the initial steps of submitting an inquiry, are excluded from being named as referred customers for this program’s purposes. All Central Hudson employees are also excluded from this Refer a Friend incentive program.

If my friend, neighbor or family member has already signed up for natural gas with Central Hudson, or contacted Central Hudson with interest, can he/she still claim me as a the referral source?
No, you can only refer a person who has never expressed interest to Central Hudson about the natural gas conversion program. Please read above within “Are there any restrictions?” for additional information.

How long will this referral program last?
This program is currently scheduled to be end on December 31st, 2017. It’s important to keep in mind that the incentives your friend may benefit from reduce over time, and it does take time to make the switch!

Can I check the status of my referral(s)?
The best way to check up on your referrals is to ask your friend, family member or neighbor if they completed a gas conversion and verified you as their referral source. Due to privacy concerns and maintaining confidentiality on behalf of our customers, Central Hudson is unable to provide status updates on your referrals. We will only be able to provide confirmation if and when a referred customer verifies you as a referral source.

When and how will I receive my $25 VISA gift card?
Once a referral customer complete their gas conversion and verifies their referral source in writing, we will process any applicable Refer and Earn program incentive. The incentive will be mailed to the referral source’s address previously provided.
