Enter Central Hudson’s Fifth Annual Fall Foliage Photo Contest

Photograph the Hudson Valley’s renowned autumn scenery for a chance to win $250 in Central Hudson’s fifth annual Fall Foliage Photo Contest.

“The colorful fall season in the Mid-Hudson Valley is the perfect subject for photographers, with some of the most breathtaking views of the year,” said Denise D. VanBuren, Vice President of Public Relations. “Entries submitted in previous years artfully depicted the region’s natural beauty, and we look forward to seeing and sharing this year’s submissions.”

To enter, Central Hudson customers may send an unpublished, scenic photograph taken personally this fall that displays the beauty of the season at any location within Central Hudson’s Mid-Hudson Valley service area to by noon on Nov. 2, 2017. One photograph may be entered per customer. A selection of finalists from among the entries will be posted to Central Hudson’s Facebook page ( on Nov. 6. Facebook users will vote by “liking” their favorite photo, and the photograph earning the most “likes” as of noon on Nov. 21, 2017, will be declared the winner of the $250 prize.

VanBuren also reminded customers of the benefits of “liking” Central Hudson on Facebook and “following” on Twitter to receive important safety messages, energy efficiency tips, announcements on new programs and services, updates on severe weather and other useful information.
