Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp., the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) and energy companies across the country support National Infrastructure Week 2018, recognized May 14 – 21, to raise awareness of the critical importance of investment in the energy infrastructure. "Our homes, businesses and communities rely on a reliable, efficient and sustainable energy delivery system," said Michael L. Mosher, President and C.E.O. of Central Hudson. "National Infrastructure Week reminds us of how much we all depend on the energy infrastructure. We're making needed investments and deploying new technologies to modernize the energy system that serves the Mid-Hudson Valley." Investments planned in 2018 include:
"These investments strengthen our electric and natural gas delivery networks, improve system efficiency and expand the potential for distributed renewable energy resources," said Mosher. "We're providing an energy system that efficiently and sustainably powers our region's homes, businesses and critical facilities to meet the needs of our communities, protect the environment and support a dependable and robust economy." National Infrastructure Week is sponsored by the Electric Edison Institute, a nation-wide electric industry association of which Central Hudson has been a decades-long member.
