Central Hudson Employees Provide Holiday Meals

Five Dutchess County families are receiving Thanksgiving meals donated by employees of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation through the energy company’s employee-sponsored 36th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. The donations, distributed by Dutchess Outreach in Poughkeepsie, include five Thanksgiving dinners, ten boxes of non-perishable food items and $1,300 in employee contributions to assist these families and others during the holiday season.

Dutchess Outreach provides meals, coordinates medical needs, distributes winter coats and offers advocacy for individuals and families in and around Poughkeepsie.

“The Thanksgiving Food Drive is a holiday tradition at Central Hudson, led by a team of employee-volunteers to help local families in need,” said Denise D. VanBuren, Vice President of Public Relations. “With these donations, we hope to bring some holiday cheer to these families, and are grateful for the opportunity to support the communities we serve.”
