Heat Pumps/Clean Heat Incentives

Air-Source Heat Pump

1) Central Hudson/Clean Heat Rebate (Whole Home):
-Up to $1,300 per 10,000 Btuh of heating capacity.

Example 1

A 1,600 square-foot house with modern building code practices and average to better insulation could require a heat load of 40,000 Btuh, which would equate up to a $5,200 Central Hudson/Clean Heat incentive.* $500 of total incentive may be allocated to the contractor.

Example 2

A 2,500 square-foot house with modern building code practices and average to better insulation could require a heat load of 62,500 Btuh, which would equate up to a $8,125 Central Hudson/Clean Heat incentive.* $500 of total incentive may be allocated to the contractor.

*Many factors go into determining the proper heat load/air-source heat pump size for your home, including home age, amount of wall and attic insulation, number of windows, attic fans, etc. The above examples are not exact depictions. If your house has less insulation and more windows, it may require a larger heat load/air-source heat pump. Work with a certified clean heat trade ally to determine what size unit you will need for your home or business.

2) Central Hudson Clean Heat Rebate (Partial Home):
-Up to $500 per outdoor condenser. $100 of total incentive may be allocated to the contractor.

3) Tax Incentives:
-Check with your tax advisor for current New York State tax incentives for clean heat upgrades.

Ground-Source Heat Pump

-Up to $2,000 per Btuh of full load AHRI capacity. $500 of total incentive may be allocated to the contractor.
