Before breaking ground, make a quick and easy call to UDig NY by dialing 811 at least two, but no more than 10 days in advance. This one call notifies municipalities and utilities (including phone and cable providers) so they can safely mark underground facilities — keeping everyone protected.

Skipping this crucial step can lead to costly penalties, legal liability, and even life-threatening accidents. Don’t take the risk — call before you dig and ensure a safe, hassle-free project. NYS Code Rule 753 requires professional excavators to contact UDig NY before digging.
