The Central Hudson Light‑Duty Make‑Ready Program previously offered qualifying customers one‑time incentives covering up to 100% of eligible electrical infrastructure costs for EV charging installations.
As of April 22, 2026, the Level 2 (L2) component of the program has been discontinued and is no longer accepting new applications. The DCFC component is currently paused pending regulatory approval.

Light-Duty Project Eligibility Requirements
Customers and developers who submitted complete applications prior to April 22, 2026, may continue through the approval and construction process subject to program rules. New applications are not currently being accepted for Light‑Duty Make‑Ready incentives.
New York State's Charge-Ready Program
New York State’s Charge-Ready 2.0 Program, announced in July 2023, is offering incentives of up to $4,000 per charger. This program can help to offset the cost of electric vehicle chargers themselves, which are not covered through Central Hudson’s existing Make-Ready program.
Central Hudson customers should note that Charge-Ready incentives may be combined with utility make‑ready incentives only when the applicable utility program is open.
