Electric Interval Metered Account Identifiers

All Central Hudson electric accounts are assigned a three-character Load Profile code. This code identifies the profile (load shape) for the usage group in which the account is classified. The Load Profile is used to allocate the load for each account, for the purpose of determining the supplier's Capacity responsibility through the NYISO, and for allocating usage by hour. This allocation is performed for all electric accounts except those for which interval detail is available (accounts with installed metering that is capable of recording, storing and transmitting detailed load and usage data).

Those accounts equipped with the interval metering described above are not allocated using a Load Profile. Instead, their load and usage are actual measured amounts, taken directly from the interval meter. These accounts also have a three-character code in the Load Profile field, but instead of referring to a profile, they identify the type of account by the voltage level at which the account takes service:
