budget billWinter's cold and summer's heat can cause big fluctuations in the size of your Central Hudson bill, and that can strain your household budget. But you can avoid those big bills and pay a more modest, uniform amount each month with our Budget Billing Plan.

How Budget Billing Works:
A typical Central Hudson bill charges for two months of energy use. A Budget Bill, on the other hand, covers only a one-month period. One of our customer service representatives will work with you to estimate your monthly budget billing amount based on your previous year's experience, adjusted for known changes. If 12 months of actual billing data are not available for your current residence, 12 months of billing data for the premises' previous resident will be used. If 12 months of usable billing data is not available, we will estimate future consumption over the next 12-month period.

Accounts are reviewed every 6 months, and the monthly budget amount may be adjusted accordingly.
