Central Hudson customers are invited to share their holiday cheer by submitting photographs of their home decorations for a chance to win $500 in the inaugural Holiday Spirit Photo Contest.

“Decorating for the holidays is a joyous tradition for families throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley,” said Charles A. Freni, President and CEO of Central Hudson. “We launched this photo contest to give families the opportunity to share this special tradition with their neighbors and express their holiday spirit. I look forward to seeing the creativity of our customers.”

Entrants may submit photographs of decorations inside or outside of their homes. All holidays celebrated from now through the end of December are welcome, including religious holidays, Thanksgiving and New Year’s.

To enter the contest, Central Hudson customers must send an original, unpublished photo taken of their holiday decorations to communications@cenhud.com by Dec. 11 at noon. One entry per customer is permitted. A selection of finalists will be posted to Central Hudson’s Instagram page on Dec. 14.

Users can then pick their favorite by first following Central Hudson’s Instagram page, then liking their favorite image. The photo with most likes on Dec. 30 at noon, will be declared the winner and will receive $500.

In addition to being able to vote in the photo contest, following Central Hudson’s Instagram page allows customers to stay up to date with the latest safety information, energy efficiency tips, new programs and services and other useful information.
