Walkway Over the Hudson is a 501 ( C ) 3 non-profit organization that took an abandoned railroad bridge and turned it into a linear park, 212 feet above the river. The Walkway opened last October 3rd, and in its first three months attracted more than 400,000 visitors, but an additional $10 million still needs to be raised to cover its cost.
That’s where Central Hudson—and you—can help. If our friends at Walkway can convert an abandoned, rusting railroad bridge into a park with unparalleled views of our valley, you can easily convert to green, environmentally better, paperless eBills. And if you do so by May 15, we’ll make a donation to Walkway Over the Hudson on your behalf, to help even more people enjoy the beauty of our Hudson River Valley.
