Family Contribution /
Information Technology: In support of the
Corporate Mission;
Collaborates
with associates and management in other areas of the Company, in a proactive
role, to determine alternative solutions and strategies for developing,
supporting and enhancing the company’s information systems and technology
infrastructure. Responsible for the
design, implementation, operation and management of the Company’s
telecommunications network. Responsible
for requirements analysis, system design, development, implementation and
management of the Company’s business application systems. Manages information systems performance and
capacity requirements. Determines
information technology standards and specifications. Negotiates with vendors, suppliers, system integrators and common
carriers for the most competitive pricing opportunities that meet the company’s
information technology standards and specifications. Responsible for problem determination and resolution with the
information systems hardware and software including but not limited to
telecommunications, networks, computers, operating systems software and
application systems software. Designs,
implements and manages information systems security, controls, backup and
disaster recovery plans.
Individual Contribution: In support of the Corporate Mission and Family Contribution;
Prepare detail specifications from which completed program modules can be
written. Prepare coded computer
programs and program manuals, and operate computer as necessary during program
debugging and test sessions when new or revised methods or procedures relate to
application of data processing equipment.
Analyze and appraise the Company's existing procedures, and to prepare
written recommendations for their improvement. Maintain a detailed knowledge of
telecommunication programming procedures and a thorough knowledge of the major
programming languages and Job Control Language used in the Information Systems
Division. Direct the programming efforts of other analysts and perform other
special assignments as directed. Direct
and assist in coordinating the installation and follow-up of new or revised
methods or procedures adopted, including close liaison with other departments.
