Family Contribution / Business Administration: In support of the Corporate Mission; Carry out policies and programs covering several or all of the following: Purchasing, Corporate Communications, Contracting, Human Resources and other business services. Participates in, plans, and coordinates activities of designated project or area to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished. May review plans and goals to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing tasks. May establish a work plan for each project/responsibilities assigned and prioritize work steps to meet time constraints. May confer with peers or team members to outline and clarify duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to accomplish project/responsibilities. May prepare and review status reports on progress and modify as needed. May prepare project reports for management.
Individual Contribution:
In support of the Corporate Mission
and Family Contribution; Plan, develop, coordinate, maintain and foster
programs for increasing safety performance, safety awareness and safe work
practices for all employees and be an employee advocate for safe work
practices. Analyze developments in new
or revised OSHA, NYS Occupational Safety and Health and other federal and state
regulations to insure that appropriate employee safety programs are developed
and carried out to address these regulations.
Provide interpretation and application information as required; advise
and assist affected areas in the development of implementation plans. Periodically audit practices, procedures and
operational safety performance. Provide
safety training to supervisors and employee groups to establish clear work
practices that incorporate safety measures and precautions. Attend, conduct, or
assist in conducting meetings of accident investigation committees; analyze,
advise and make recommendations for safer work practices and procedures. Analyze, audit, and prepare reports relative
to work related injuries and illnesses. Provide appropriate action to minimize
lost time and implement applicable accident prevention steps. Interface with our Workers’ Compensation
carrier regarding reporting employee injuries, case management, and other
appropriate follow-up activities.
Prepare reports and analysis on lost-time accident trends. Cultivate contacts with peers through
membership and participation in safety and health professional organizations
and committees.
