Family Contribution / Operations: Operates and maintains electric and gas
transmission and distribution systems.
This includes electric lines between generating stations, substations,
and consumers, requiring use of precautionary work methods and safety equipment
due to electrical hazards present when working on or near energized conductors
and electrical accessories. Also
includes gas pipelines between gate stations, regulator stations and consumers
requiring precautionary work methods and safety equipment due to hazards
present when working on pressurized and potentially explosive systems.
Individual Contribution: In support of the Corporate Mission and Family Contribution;
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and provide general supervision for the
construction, operation, and maintenance of a safe, economical, and reliable
electric and gas transmission and distribution system. Communicate with customers by phone, in
writing, or in person regarding construction, operations and maintenance. Investigate and resolve complaints. Coordinate customer service needs with other
departments as required, ensuring highly satisfied customers. To be responsible for providing customers
with safe, reliable, adequate service, in compliance with all applicable laws
and regulations, including but not limited to gas safety, electric safety,
employee health and safety, and all environmental regulations. Ensure highest levels of safe work practices
to strive for an injury free workplace.
Be knowledgeable and prepared to implement Gas Emergency and Electric
Emergency response plans. Develop and
manage Division capital and operating expense budget programs. Plan, develop and implement productivity
improvement programs to foster continuous improvement in individual, workgroup,
and Division performance. Provide
managerial oversight and control through direct and indirect leadership,
fulfillment of divisional and corporate goals and objectives, development of
employees, and appropriate use and control of corporate assets.
