| CH Energy Group, Inc. Appoints Assistant Treasurer (POUGHKEEPSIE, NY) The Board of Directors of CH Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE: CHG) has appointed Stacey Renner to the position of Assistant Treasurer - Investor Relations, effective June 1, 2005. He will represent the Poughkeepsie-based energy firm, which had 2004 operating revenues of $792 million, with stock analysts, shareholders, rating agencies, banks, and other financial institutions. |

"Stacey's ability to work effectively with the financial community will be of great value as he assumes the expanded duties associated with this appointment," said Steven V. Lant, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer. "His experience -- ranging from the exploration of new business ventures to long-range financial planning -- provides him with a sound perspective on CH Energy Group's financial health, fiscal management and investment strategy. I'm confident this new role will allow Stacey to contribute in many worthwhile ways to our future."
Renner joined subsidiary Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation in 1990 as a Cost & Rate Analyst. Six years later, he joined the IBM Corporation as a Financial Analyst and served in finance positions of increasing responsibility until being named Senior Financial Analyst at that corporation's Global Services Division. He re-joined CH Energy Group in 2002, and Renner has most recently served as its Director of Investment Planning and Analysis. Renner, who resides in Hyde Park with his wife Hillary, holds a Bachelor of Economics from Union College and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Marist College. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Rehab Programs, Inc., including service as its treasurer and a member of both its Executive and Finance committees. # # # |
